Creative Friday:: Artistic Anatomy

  • 14 May 2011
  • A day late as I couldn't get into blogger but as they say better late than never. As most of you know I'm studying nursing and as overwhelming as anatomy and physiology for someone who last did science in high school, I love learning about the body and how it works. I'm also more than impressed by the amazing anatomical drawings contained in my text books and decided this week to knock two birds over with one stone by doing a bit of creative studying.

    Above: Ovum
    These are papercuts, ink and watercolour on Hahnemühle paper.
    Below: Muscles of the eye

    I even labelled the muscles, who said learning A&P can't be fun?

    4 lovely people had this to say:

    Hi Kris,
    Thanks for being in contact, and looking at my blog!

    I really enjoyed looking at your blog - you make beautiful things - including beautiful babies! I love all of your Waldorf arts and crafts. I have not started knitting yet, but might have to this winter inspired by you!

    So nice to see your amazing life!
