Details Pattern: Thuja from Knitty Yarn- Four Bags Full merino- hand dyed by me in Night Rainbow approx 100gms used Needle size- 4mm US 6 Size- AUS mens 9-10 Mods- none
I didn't know I could move so fast LOL I didn't know what breed it was until this morning when it showed up again and luckily it's non venomous but gah! snakes in the house!
Its been captured now (by my partner who has a steve irwin complex) and after speaking to WIRES , he's going to let it go a far distance away. Talk about a fright and a half though!
Universe- I'm ready to move back into town now please!
grab one of these keyrings and rejoice in it's solo completeness.
I have a shipment of these coming from the US, made by a wahm they come complete with a pattern using fingering weight yarn. I made the above sock with DK 4bf and only had to adjust the pattern slightly though. and I just wanted to show off my latest custom. "Sock Monkey" on aran BFL with chocolate treliske trim. I'll be dyeing up some more of this when I get a chance.
um, nope! I knew these were turning out too big but I was really enjoying the knitting so I didn't stop and check. Oh well, to the frog pile. Oh my goodness I love this yarn though! its purewool worsted 3ply and its so soft and squishy like the single ply but doesn't pill or felt anywhere near as bad (the single ply pills just while I knit it but that doesn't stop the yarn love)
So I'm starting again.
Luckily I have my great new bag to keep it in while out and about thanks to the lovely Rebecca. This is my Random Act of Kindness swap goodies and I squealed when I opened it! For me- the fabulous (and on my to do list!) Spring green felt bag from the latest Yarn magazine. I adore this! I'll be heading back to uni this year and its the perfect size more for me cool little washcloth and some yummy bodyshop products For Angus- gorgeous little wooden animals. He loves these as you can see by the picture (and he's quite fussy with toys) He didn't even want to let them go so I could take a photo and wrapped (as ellie was at school and then I didn;t get to take a photo before she went to bed) is a fabulous princess book for Ellie. She read it tonight and was very impressed (just getting to that age where she's loving the fairy tale kind of story) Thanks again Rebecca! I've been using it this week and it really is the perfect size. Now just to get some time along in order to have a bath and try out the goodies. Somehow having a bath with 2 kids jumping over you isn't half as relaxing (ellie even came in the birth pool with me when angus was born LOL)
I've put some new play food packs up on Ozebaby now Consisting of 5 different semi-solid colours in 4BF merino perfect for making knitted or crocheted play food or toys Arrives boxed with 2 handmade polymer clay stitch markers
Nappycino hosted an Australia Day prize 2 years ago and I was lucky enough to score first prize with a painted canvas nappy cover. This year depsite being flat out with life (selling our house, looking for a new one and starting uni again) I knew I had to enter something.
Luckily I had this soaker sitting here just waiting to be decorated. It will be auctioned soon with the proceeds going to the charity thats voted by Nappycino members.
Certainly was some tough competition, check out all the winning entries here (how amazing is Mandy's wetbag!)
